Melbourne Storm has broken new ground, announcing it has officially signed 40,237 members, the biggest tally in the Club’s 27-year history.
This achievement marks a significant moment for the Club, with the milestone reached ahead of two back-to-back blockbuster home fixtures at AAMI Park in the next two weeks.
Storm’s membership numbers have been on a rapid rise in recent years, experiencing a 40% increase across the course of the last four seasons which has culminated in this year’s historic record.
The 40,237 members and counting in 2025 is only the second time surpassing the 40,000 mark and goes past Storm’s previous best tally of 40,161 which came in 2022. In that year, the Club gifted memberships to those in Victoria who supported Storm throughout the previous two COVID effected seasons.
Storm CEO Justin Rodski said the significant milestone is testament to the unwavering support of the purple faithful.
“On behalf of the Club, our thanks go out to each and every one of our members who have supported us throughout 2025 so far and helped us achieve this record,” Rodski said.
“We feel and see the support our members provide everywhere we go. Whether it’s on the road in enemy territory or back home at AAMI Park, the purple army are the most loyal and passionate in the land.
“The overall Melbourne Storm experience is second to none, we’re lucky to have the best rectangular stadium in Australian sport and our members enjoy great access to players and have a strong emotional connection to the Club.
“With a big end to 2025 on the way, we’re looking forward to our members joining us for our final two home games to end the regular season in readiness for an exciting finals series to come.”
The milestones don’t stop there, with Friday night’s top four showdown against the Bulldogs sold-out with a bumper crowd expected at AAMI Park. It will mark Storm’s third sell-out of season 2025, another mark that the Club has not achieved before this season.
The Friday night blockbuster will then be followed a week later by Member Appreciation Round where the Club, alongside Major and Official Membership Partner RedZed will take the opportunity to celebrate Storm’s 2025 members.
