Victoria’s next generation of rugby league stars were on display at Seabrook Reserve, Broadmeadows last night for the inaugural Sua Fa'alogo Cup Grand Final.
In a tight contest, the North Hub took out the title with a 12-10 win in a match that went down to the wire with Jai Humphries from North taking out the Player of the Match Award in the Final.
In what was a fantastic night for grassroots rugby league, the Victorian community turned out for the Final with strong support shown for both the South East and North.
2025 marked the inaugural year of the local hub competition, highlighting the top U16 talent from across Storm’s Junior League. The three Storm Hub teams, North, South East, and West, were selected from the 12 junior rugby league clubs across Victoria.
The competition is designed not only to showcase and strengthen Victoria’s top U16 talent but also prepare them for potential selection in the 2026 Harold Matthews season, which will once again be proudly represented by an all-Victorian squad.
Homegrown talent Sua Fa’alogo was on hand in Broadmeadows, the home of his junior club Northern Thunder to present the trophy last night to the winning North Hub.
