Melbourne Storm has today congratulated Club legend Cameron Smith on his induction into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.
Smith possesses one of the best resumes in the game, playing 430 matches for Storm, captaining the Club for 15 seasons while leading both his country and state with distinction at representative level. The legendary hooker also holds the NRL games record amongst a host of other accolades.
The latest honour, comes a year after his induction into the NRL Hall of Fame.
“Cameron has a record that is unmatched in the game and this latest honour is a remarkable and well deserved achievement,” Storm CEO Justin Rodski said.
“The legacy and impact Cameron has left on Melbourne Storm and the game of rugby league is significant and cannot be understated.
“He rightly sits among an incredible group of Australia’s sporting elite and it’s fantastic to see his achievements recognised on a national scale.”
