
Melbourne Storm's feeder teams, Sunshine Coast Falcons, the Brisbane Tigers, and North Sydney Bears, were in action over the weekend, competing in Round 13 of the Queensland Cup and Round 15 of the NSW Cup.
Brisbane Tigers
The Brisbane Tigers claimed a dominant 38-10 victory over the Northern Pride on Saturday.
The first half was a tight contest, with the Tigers holding a narrow 12-10 lead at the break. However, they came out firing in the second half, scoring in six tries to zero to seal an huge win.
Kane Bradley, Keagan Russell-Smith, and Josiah Pahulu all played pivotal roles in the performance. Bradley was a standout, crossing for two tries, while Pahulu impressed in his first feeder game since joining the Storm.
The Tigers will aim to maintain their winning momentum this weekend when they face the Papua New Guinea Hunters.
North Sydney Bears
The North Sydney Bears came away with a hard-fought 34-28 win over the Canberra Raiders.
The Bears built an early lead with four first-half tries to take a 20-12 advantage into the break. They continued that form in the second half, adding two more tries and holding off a late Raiders comeback to secure the win.
Ativalu Lisati and Gabriel Satrick both featured, having solid minutes and contributing strongly.
North Sydney will look to build on the performance in this Sunday’s clash against the Newtown Jets.
Sunshine Coast Falcons
The Falcons edged out the Papua New Guinea Hunters in a tought contest, securing an 18-16 victory on Saturday.
