Four Storm Players Selected for U19 State of Origin

Four Melbourne Storm SG Ball players have been selected in the U19 State of Origin squads, with the interstate clash set to take place at Sunshine Coast Stadium in Queensland on June 19.

Following impressive performances across the SG Ball and Jersey Flegg competitions this season, Amaziah Murgha, Jai Bowden, and Kobi Floro have been named in the 20-man Queensland squad while Cooper Clarke has earned a spot in the NSW squad.

Storm QLD Academy player Hayden Watson also earned a call-up to the QLD squad, having enjoyed a stellar season in the Mal Meninga Cup for the Burleigh Bears.

Both squads will enter their respective camps on Friday, with the young Queenslanders led by Head Coach Darius Boyd, alongside assistant coaches Andrew McCullough and Jesse Maclean.

Meanwhile, the NSW Blues will be coached by Josh Jackson, who will be supported by assistant coaches Josh Reynolds, Trent Hodkinson and Dale Finucane.

The one-off match will kick off at 7:45 PM on Thursday, June 19.
