Junior Report: Round 10

Melbourne Storm U21s hosted the Newcastle Knights at AAMI Park on Sunday in what was a tightly contested encounter from start to finish. Despite a valiant effort, the Storm went down in a narrow 28-26 loss.

The first half was evenly matched, with both teams going try for try. The back-and-forth battle continued into the second half, with neither team able to pull away.

Ultimately, the game was decided in the final minutes, as the Knights were awarded a penalty goal that gave them the edge, securing a two-point win.

Despite the result, Dylan Brettle and Mitchell Jennings were standouts for the Storm, each crossing for a try and making key contributions throughout the match.

The loss sees Melbourne slip slightly on the ladder, but they will have a chance to regroup during this weekend's bye before turning their attention to a crucial clash against the Rabbitohs in two weeks.
