Melbourne Storm has joined forced with The Inclusion Project to assist with making the match day experience more accessible for those living with hidden disabilities.
For many people, going to watch Storm is an exciting activity. For some, it can also be a stressful experience navigating the busy environment at AAMI Park, and with many large crowds and loud noises the event can become overwhelming.
The partnership will see Storm and The Inclusion Project support the delivery of the permanent Sensory Room constructed by Melbourne Park at all Storm home games at AAMI Park in 2025.
The Sensory Room is designed to provide sensory relief and assist with regulation for people living with sensory needs. The room will be managed by a qualified Occupational Therapist from The Inclusion Project who will provide individual support and guidance throughout the matchday experience.
Storm CEO Justin Rodski said: “We’re always striving to offer a warm welcome to our supporters, regardless of age, background, ability or circumstance. Working with The Inclusion Project and Melbourne Park we’re incredibly proud to have The Sensory Room in place for all our home games at AAMI Park this season, kicking off this Sunday for Round 1.”
Storm will also work closely with The Inclusion Project to provide employment opportunities for casual staff with lived experience of disability. Staff will be employed across a variety of Storm departments, including membership, commercial partnerships and community, to help bring Storm’s matchday to life.
The Inclusion Project was developed to create more accessible events that accommodate the needs of those living with a hidden disability.

The Storm Sensory Room will be located on Level 1, opposite Aisle 23 at AAMI Park. The room will be open for all Storm games in 2025, available from when gates open to the conclusion of the match day.
Additionally, sensory bags containing special badges, fidget tools, noise-cancelling headphones, and other resources are available for loan (at no cost) at the AAMI Park Information Desk (Gates 1 & 8).
