Melbourne Storm has today confirmed a new partnership agreement with CitiPower and Rogers Willex to become Premium Partners of Melbourne Storm Academy.
The partnership will see both organisations extend their support of the Club by aligning their brand with Storm’s successful pathway program, developing the next generation of rugby league players.
CitiPower, an Official Partner since May 2024, have extended their Storm sponsorship for a further three years and will now support the Club’s academy. The CitiPower logo will be present on the left panel of Storm’s Harold Matthews, SG Ball and Jersey Flegg playing shorts.
CitiPower supplies 341,790 customer connections in the Melbourne CBD and inner suburbs. Their electricity is relied upon by customers ranging from residents, small businesses and major office buildings to world-class sporting, public health, education and cultural precincts.
In 2024, CitiPower ‘powered the pre-game’ with their electric TVC that signified the start of the AAMI Park pre-show. This will continue at all home games in 2025, further leveraging their partnership.
Scott Russell, General Manager at CitiPower, said: “We’re proud to extend our partnership with Melbourne Storm by investing in the Storm Pathways and Academy, which will provide a meaningful pathway for up-and-coming players to play, train and develop together at the highest levels of the game.”
“At CitiPower, we believe that this is an investment in the future of the sport and the young people who play it in our backyard, AAMI Park.”
Elevating their sponsorship to Premium Partner of Storm Academy, the Rogers Willex logo will feature on the top back panel of Storm’s Harold Matthews, SG Ball and Jersey Flegg playing jerseys.
Manufacturing in Australia since 1896, Rogers Willex is Australia’s leading manufacturer of medium capacity trailer axles, plant trailers and trailer parts. They have locations in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth, together with long-standing relationships throughout Australia.
Alongside their jersey sponsorship, the Rogers Willex partnership will be amplified through Storm’s digital channels and on-field signage at AAMI Park.
Mitchell Chambers, Rogers Willex Managing Director, said: “Rogers Willex is excited to partner with the Storm Pathways and Academy as part of our expansion, this includes the upcoming opening of our Melbourne branch. This partnership reaffirms our long-term commitment to delivering top-tier service to both existing and future customers across Melbourne and Victoria.
“The Academy's dedication to nurturing and developing future stars perfectly aligns with our core values of supporting growth and excellence. This partnership holds special significance to us, as our Melbourne-based Sales Representative, Dylan Gallagher, is a current player within the Academy.”
Melbourne Storm Chief Commercial Officer Daniel Cullinan, added: “We’re delighted to announce CitiPower and Rogers Willex as Premium Partners of Storm Academy. Both organisations have been significant supporters of our Club, and we’re incredibly pleased to continue this relationship in 2025 and have their logos proudly displayed on the jersey and shorts of our pathway teams.”
