Feeder Report: Round 11 & 12

It was the same scoreline but differing outcomes for Storm’s feeder teams on the weekend, the Sunshine Coast Falcons going down 22-16 in a see-sawing affair against the Tweed Seagulls.

Meanwhile, the Bears found themselves on the right side of the scoreline, prevailing 22-16 in their match against the Warriors.

With Brisbane Tigers having the bye, the Falcons went blow for blow with the Tweed Seagulls before ultimately being pipped at the post at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

In a backline featuring plenty of Storm talent, Young Tonumaipea crossed for the Falcons first try of the contest before penalty goals kicked by the Seagulls across the duration of the contest ultimately proved the difference as both teams scored three tries each.

Meanwhile in the Knock On Effect NSW Cup, the Bears secured the two-points in a tight tussle of their own, two tries in three minutes midway through the second half lifting them to their 7th win of the season.

Sitting in second place on the table, the Bears will now face the Blacktown Workers Seagulls on Sunday while the Falcons will face the Redcliffe Dolphins.

Meanwhile, the Tigers will return refreshed from their bye and take on the Townsville Blackhawks.
