Feeder Report: Round 9 & 10

With the Sunshine Coast Falcons having the bye in Round 9, it wasn’t to be for Melbourne Storm’s other feeder teams over the weekend, the North Sydney Bears and Brisbane Tigers both going down in their respective Sunday clashes.

The North Sydney Bears were pipped by the Parramatta Eels in a see-sawing contest in Round 10 of the Knock On Effect NSW Cup, eventually going down 31-24 at North Sydney Oval.

Meanwhile, the Brisbane Tigers had an afternoon to forget, beaten 62-16 by the Norths Devils at Bishop Park.

Joe Chan, Bronson Garlick and Dean Ieremia suited up for the Bears, Chan playing 80-minutes in his first appearance in the red, white and black while Bronson Garlick produced 62-minutes at hooker after not featuring for Storm on Saturday night.

For the Tigers, Kane Bradley topped the run metres for the visitors, ammassing 114 metres while Tristan Powell made 26 tackles in his 57-minute stint.

The Tigers will look to find a response when they host the Souths Logan Magpies at Totally Workwear Stadium while the Bears will face the Rabbitohs.

The Sunshine Coast Falcons will come in fresh off their bye and take on the 2nd placed Wynnum manly Seagulls.
