Local Victorian rugby league hits new heights

Storm Premiership and Storm Junior League participants has hit new heights this week, with registered rugby league participants reaching 5000 for the first time in the code's history in the state.

Heading into Round 5 of the Storm Premiership and Round 3 of the Storm Junior League, statewide participation is well ahead of where the game was in 2023, despite that being a record-breaking season itself.

Female rugby league has also been smashing records with more women playing the game in the state than ever before, with there being over 1000 female participants, just under 50% more than 2023.

With over 275 boys and girls teams made up across Victoria, ranging all the way from Under 6's to Seniors, Victorian rugby league is primed for one of the biggest seasons yet.
