Feeder Report: Round 7 & 8

The North Sydney Bears and Sunshine Coast Falcons have now moved up to 2nd and 3rd on the table after both picking up wins across the HostPlus Cup and Knock On Effect NSW Cup over the weekend.

The Falcons edged out the CQ Capras, running out 22-14 winners while the Bears overcame a 12-6 halftime deficit to emerge 28-16 winners.

It was once again Storm’s Victorian contingent that impressed, Dean Ieremia finding the tryline for the 6th time this season and Sua Fa’alago showing his injury layoff hasn’t slowed him down, scoring in the 66th minute.

Meanwhile for the Falcons, Young Tonumaipea was effective on the left edge, registering six tackle breaks and running for 114m.

It wasn’t to be for the Brisbane Tigers however, going down 50-12 to the Tweed Seagulls despite a hattrick to Storm Academy talent Coby Williamson.

The Bears will now return home to North Sydney Oval to face the Sydney Roosters while the Falcons will play the 1st placed Burleigh Bears and the Tigers set to take on the 2nd placed Cutters.
