Carsales extends partnership to Storm Group family

Storm Group and carsales, Australia’s #1 for cars, are shifting gears and taking their partnership to the next level.

As well as continuing its longstanding relationship with Melbourne Storm, carsales is now extending its support through a new partnership with Storm Group’s Queensland netball team, Sunshine Coast Lightning.

carsales has shown its unwavering support for the NRL club since 2021 and with this new venture, carsales will now strengthen its commitment to women’s sport by aligning with the double premiership-winning Sunshine Coast-based team in the Suncorp Super Netball League.

The carsales logo which features prominently on the Storm jersey sleeve will now also appear in a prime front position on the Lightning netball bib for the first time.

Storm Group and carsales officially announced the partnership with the support of two of the clubs’ biggest stars - Storm captain Harry Grant and Lightning’s Australian Diamond representative Liz Watson.

Storm Group CEO Justin Rodski said carsales’ partnership with the two clubs presented some exciting opportunities to engage their members and fans.

“We have always been proud of our partnership with carsales at Melbourne Storm. To have them extend their agreement and come on board with Lightning is really special,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve with carsales at both clubs, both for this season and into the future.”

With Storm Group boasting not one but two premiership-winning teams – Melbourne Storm and the Sunshine Coast Lightning – carsales is thrilled to be at the forefront of supporting both these powerhouses.

The latest partnership with the Sunshine Coast Lightning will see a number of exciting fan activations, including during a tactical time out at each home game, rolled out across the season.
