Team Announcement: Pre-season Challenge v Knights

Melbourne Storm has named a 28-man squad comprising of experienced NRL talent and emerging players for its pre-season trial game against the Newcastle Knights at Churchill Park in Fiji.

In a vastly different side to the one that faced the Bulldogs just under a week ago, Saturday's match will see a majority of Storm's regular starters get their first hit-out of the season.

Will Warbrick, Nick Meaney, Xavier Coates, Jahrome Hughes, Tui Kamikamica, Harry Grant, Josh King and Eli Katoa have all been named in the starting side while Christian Welch, Joe Chan, Shawn Blore, Bronson Garlick and Jack Howarth make up an extended bench.

After featuring in the game against the Bulldogs, Ryan Papenhuyzen, Reimis Smith, Jonah Pezet, Kane Bradley and Trent Loiero all maintain their spot in the starting lineup.

Storm and Knights will kickoff at 1:45pm Melbourne time, broadcast live on Fox League and Kayo.
