Storm, Fijian Drua connection continues

AAMI Park will welcome some new visitors next week, with Fijian Drua using Storm facilities at the venue for their trial match against the Melbourne Rebels as they prepare for the 2024 Super Rugby season.

With Drua operating out of AAMI Park, they will repay the favour with Storm set to be visitors at their home base in Fiji a week later.

Storm will utilise Drua's gym, team meeting rooms and training field ahead of their second trial of pre-season and a historic clash against the Newcastle Knights.

The two clubs have shared a strong relationship in recent years, with Fijian Drua Coach Mick Byrne spending time with Storm last year in the lead up to a blockbuster clash against the Penrith Panthers at Marvel Stadium.

Former Storm CEO Mark Evans (2013-2015) is also now the Chief Executive Officer at Fijian Drua.
