Storm secure four IRL Golden Boot nominations

Four Melbourne Storm players have been nominated for the 2023 IRL Golden Boot award after the completion of the recent Pacific Championships and England-Tonga series.

Sua Fa’alago (Samoa), Jahrome Hughes (New Zealand), Harry Grant (Australia) and Tui Kamikamica (Fiji) all impressed for their respective nations, with Hughes in particular, playing an instrumental role in helping New Zealand to the Pacific Championships title.

Hughes had five try assists and one try for the Kiwis, playing a pivotal role as he reached 10 appearances for New Zealand.

Young gun Fa’alago showed some moments of magic for Samoa in his debut for Samoa while Grant registered his 8th appearance for Australia, sharing hooker duties with Ben Hunt.

Kamikamica led from the front for Fiji, captaining the side and scoring a try while also registering the second-most tackles.

Winners will be announced on the 25th of November.
