Season in Review: Reimis Smith

Reimis Smith showed his versatility and team first attitude in 2023, broadcasting his defensive prowess in the centres and then again on the wing in his 22 games.

Making the right centre role his own in the first half of the season, he built a strong defensive combination with Will Warbrick, playing an underrated role in helping Warbrick transition into his first season in the first grade.

Playing every game up until Round 21, Smith reached 50 Storm games in Round 18 before then celebrating his 100th NRL game in Round 20 against the Sydney Roosters.

Smith also made his first appearance in the HostPlus Cup, playing three games for the Brisbane Tigers where he scored a try and had six tackle breaks.

Smith returned on the wing for Storm’s Round 24 clash against the Canberra Raiders, playing a further four games for the season, bringing his total to five tries, six try assists and 48 tackle breaks over the course of the season.
