Round 26 supports Family of League

Our Round 26 Match Day partner, Family of League, works hard to ensure the men, women and children of the rugby league community can access financial, social and emotional support to keep our game flourishing from grassroots, to first-grade.

Founded in 2002, former players Ron Coote, Jim Hall and Max Brown identified a pressing need for a network supporting the tight-knit rugby league community’s desire to help its own, going on to establish the Men of League Foundation.

In 2022, following an increasing number of volunteers identifying as and helping women and children in need, alongside men, the Foundation re-branded to ‘Family of League’ with the name more accurately reflecting what the organisation has grown to stand for.

The Melbourne committee was formed in 2011 and included former Storm players Robbie Kearns and Danny Williams along with John Ribot founder of the storm, Greg Brentnall (former Rothmans Fold Medal winner) and also included Roy Masters who had a long career as a successful coach in Sydney.

Family of League welcomes all who share a passion for the game. Whether you’re a fan, member, donor, partner, administrator, or sponsor there is space at the table for all who love the game of rugby league.

Since their inception, Family of League, are proud to have been able to;

  • Provide $10 million in support to those in need
  • Deliver 10 thousand hours of volunteer support
  • Have established 39 local committees around Australia
