AAMI Park to give Storm lift into finals run

After two months away, Melbourne Storm are finally set to return home to AAMI Park to take on the Canberra Raiders in what's sure to be an exciting Sunday afternoon clash!

Following two matches at Marvel Stadium, the boys in purple share the opportunity to celebrate the Club’s members and fans in a special Member’s Appreciation Round adds an additional boost.

It's gonna be a cracker and it's really exciting that we're playing at two o'clock, a really family-friendly time, it's members around, we're back at AAMI Park - so there's so many positives for us as a club to really celebrate our members and hopefully get a good turnout.

Christian Welch

“We all enjoy playing at AAMI Park. The fans make an effort to come out and...we like winning down here,” smiled Emerging Leader Tom Eisenhuth.

“It's good to be home, always good to be home.”

However, it’s not only the Storm family that could be excited to return to their home ground, with the Raiders having taken the win in their past five runs at the stadium.

“They played really well against us at AAMI,” said Captain Christian Welch, reminiscing after the Canberra side knocked Storm’s finals run at the stadium last year.

“We will have work cut out for us.”

Welch: "That's a real goal for us"

The clash is also set to be the spark for each team's finals run with the home side sitting fourth on the ladder, the Raiders fifth, and both squads producing near-identical season performances.

“The premiership comes from that top four position, that’s the real goal for us,” continued Welch.

“I think [Storm and Raiders are] four and five, or right near each other. So, it's going to be a really good contest to hopefully set up a big end of the year.”

Don’t miss Storm’s run home and unlock your seat today!
