Stats that matter: Round 23 v Panthers

Check out all the stats that matter from Storm’s Round 23 clash against the Panthers.

1,2,3,4

Back into the starting side for the second straight week, Young Tonumaipea impressed at left centre, registering one try, two linebreaks and three tackle breaks in just his fourth NRL game this season.

Tonumaipea is quickly making a habit of finding the try line when given his opportunity in the side, scoring four tries in his last six games played over the past two seasons with the Storm.

90%

Clocking in 380 tackles in frosty conditions at BlueBet Stadium, Storm’s defensive stocks certainly didn’t take a backwards step, executing at a tackle efficiency of 90% across the 80 minutes.

Harry Grant topped the individual tackle count with 55 to his name while Josh King also registered 41.

Pezet returns with confidence

With Jonah Pezet called up into the starting side in the absence of Jahrome Hughes, the young half returned with confidence as he shared the bulk of the kicking duties with Cameron Munster.

Pezet quickly looked at home in the No.7 jersey, showcasing his classy kicking game with several well-executed kicks across the contest.

Amassing 268 kick metres from his nine kicks, he tested the Panthers backline all night long with 3 bombs and a grubber that forced a line drop out.
