Bellamy's Round 21 rundown

Melbourne Storm head coach Craig Bellamy spoke to the media ahead of his side’s Round 21 matchup against the Newcastle Knights on Saturday night.

Terrigal camp

“It’s been good, the players have enjoyed the different environment, getting up to look at the ocean every morning, it’s not too bad.”

“It’s been pretty hectic too to be honest but it's been something different and I think everyone has enjoyed it, preparation seems to be good so hopefully we got that right as well.”

Search for consistency

“We want to keep looking to improve on the things that are important to us, there’s a couple of little things there like playing the full 80 minutes out that is the focus.”

“We know what we need to do and what we want to do and what we’re good at and what works for us, so it’s about trying to keep being more consistent at that.”

Facing Newcastle

“We are aware of what Newcastle's strengths are as well, they’ve got a lot of their players back so they’re a really good side.”

“It’s a thing during the week of being aware of what we need to improve at and be consistent at but we also need to be aware of what Newcastle are capable of.”

Coates strong form

“He’s been great, he's been great since he's been at the club, it was great to see him back in the Origin side this year.”

“He’s been tremendous for us and he’s a really good guy off the field as well and he’s devoted to the club and what we are about.”
