Rehab report: Magic Round

The latest update on Melbourne's Storm's injury list.

George Jennings (hamstring)

The winger is expected to resume full training next week after picking up his injury playing for Brisbane Tigers three weeks ago.

Alec MacDonald (elbow)

After missing the ANZAC Day match against the Warriors, the forward will return to playing in the next fortnight.

Tom Eisenhuth (hip)

Tom was another absentee from the Warriors game after being injured in the round seven loss against Manly. He is a chance to return to action this week and has been named in the 22-man squad.

Jack Howarth (shoulder)

Jack suffered a shoulder dislocation playing for the Sunshine Coast Falcons on Sunday. He will be reviewed by a shoulder specialist later this week to determine if he needs to have surgery at this point.

Ryan Papenhuyzen (knee)

The exact date of Paps’ return is still TBC. “I wish I had a proper answer to this question (when I’ll be back) but I guess for everyone to understand, it’s still a bit complicated,” Papenhuyzen told Fox League.

“I’ve got a bit of a deficiency in the right quad which I did my knee on and it’s all about just getting it to under 10 per cent. Once it’s under 10 per cent, it should ramp up but we’ve just had a few difficulties. It’s annoying. I have to be patient, it’s frustrating for me as well but that’s the best way to explain it.”

Dean Ieremia (knee)

The winger will not be available for the remainder of 2023 after suffering an ACL rupture in the trials.
