Storm’s history chronicled in new podcast, Eye of the Storm

Melbourne Storm is proud to share Eye of the Storm, a podcast series giving insight into the moments that have built Storm and its revered culture over the last 25 years.

Eye of the Storm will premiere on Thursday across all your favourite podcast platforms.

As the Club continues to celebrate its incredible 25 year history, the series will give the purple faithful, rugby league and sports fans alike an exclusive and in-depth look into the one of the country's most successful outfits.

Featuring never-before-seen interviews with players and administrators, alongside archival commentary and footage, all fans, from foundation to new, can be prepared to gain a deeper understanding of what makes Storm tick.

The first episode will chronicle the story of the night the sport’s capital, Melbourne, embraced its newest team.

After three wins on the road to start its historic inaugural season, Storm returned to Melbourne to play in front of its home faithful for the first time ever on April 3, 1998.

Could the men in purple continue their fairytale start to life in the big time when they stepped out onto Olympic Park to face the North Sydney Bears?

How many Victorians would show up to watch this foreign game? How many people would care? The answers were resounding.

Follow Eye of the Storm on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts or your preferred platform today to be first to know when new episodes are released.
