Team Announcement: Round 4

Origin and Test five-eighth Cameron Munster has been named in Melbourne Storm’s 22-man squad to face Wests Tigers in the round four NRL match at AAMI Park this Friday as he makes his way back from a fractured finger sustained in round one.

After missing the losses to Canterbury and Gold Coast, Munster trained with the Storm squad this afternoon and has been named in the No.6 jersey to face the Tigers.

However, he will need to complete Thursday’s captains run session without incident before his return to play is confirmed.

With Munster selected in the starting team, last weekend’s debutant Jonah Pezet drops back to the reserves’ list in the only change to the 17 who faced the Gold Coast Titans on Saturday.

Halfback Jahrome Hughes has been named in the No.7 jersey pending his judiciary appearance tonight where he will attempt to have a grade two dangerous contact charge downgraded. If successful, he will be free to play the Tigers.

Among the names on the extended interchange bench are Tariq Sims, who is in line to make his AAMI Park debut for Melbourne, and Tom Eisenhuth, who made a successful return from lower back issues when he came off the bench for the Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Hostplus Cup at the weekend.

Back-rower Eli Katoa will reach the 50-game milestone, four of those with Storm.

Kickoff is at 6pm.
