Hughes unsuccessful at judiciary

Melbourne Storm halfback Jahrome Hughes has been unsuccessful in his bid to get a dangerous contact charge downgraded by the NRL judiciary on Tuesday night.

As a result, the Storm star will now miss Melbourne’s next two matches following the charge received in Saturday’s Round 3 meeting with the Gold Coast Titans.

Hughes will miss Melbourne’s match-up with Wests Tigers at home this Friday night as well as Storm’s Round 5 trip to face South Sydney.
