Jonah Pezet becomes player 229

Jonah Pezet will become Melbourne Storm player 229 when he makes his Club debut this afternoon at Cbus Stadium against the Gold Coast Titans.

Hailing from Gosford in New South Wales, Pezet has been an exciting up-and-comer in the rugby league world.

Beginning his junior career with the Valentine-Eleebana Devils, Pezet has continued his development at a state league level in the HostPlus Cup with the Brisbane Tigers, a Storm feeder club.

His efforts on field up north saw the halfback selected to represent his home state in the Under 19s State of Origin last season where he went on to be named man-of-the-match.

The 20-year-old is also the son of former South Queensland and Parramatta halfback, Troy Pezet.

He will be one of two debutants in the Round 3 clash with Gold Coast, alongside Tariq Sims.

The pair join Will Warbrick, Eli Katoa, Bronson Garlick and Kane Bradley as the Club's 2023 debutants.
