Rehab report: Round 3

The latest update on Melbourne's Storm's injury list.

Nelson Asofa-Solomona (knee)

A six to eight-week layoff is the estimation for the NZ front-rower after he sustained a high-grade MCL injury against the Bulldogs on Saturday night.

Cameron Munster (finger)

The Kangaroos and Origin five-eighth remains sidelined by the fractured finger he sustained against Parramatta in round one. He was not available for selection this week.

Xavier Coates (SC joint)

After missing the game against Canterbury, the Queensland Origin is in line for a return this week. He has been named in the starting team with a final decision on whether he will play being made later in the week.

Justin Olam (fractured forearm)

The PNG centre is back in full training after suffering a fractured arm in the opening trial at Geelong, and has been named in the starting line-up to face the Titans, pending a check on his fitness following training Wednesday and Friday.

Tui Kamikamica (foot)

The Fijian forward suffered a tendon injury in his foot in the pre-game warm-up against the Warriors in Christchurch. He returned to full training last week and has been named in the 22-man squad to face the Titans. Like Xavier and Justin, a final decision on his availability will be made later in the week.

Tom Eisenhuth (lower back)

Tom has returned to contact training and may be available for selection next week.

Tariq Sims (calf)

After being sidelined by two calf injuries over pre-season, Storm’s new signing has rejoined full training and has been named in the 22-man squad for the Gold Coast this week. He will also need to get through the next two training sessions before being given the final tick to make his Storm debut.

Tepai Moeoa (calf)

The front-rower is a possibility to play next week after a calf strain in training.

George Jennings (ACL/illness)

The winger has banked a week of full training, bringing him close to a return to the field initially via the Hostplus Cup.

Marion Seve (knee)

A return in rounds 4/5 is on the cards for the centre as his knee cartilage issues improve.

Ryan Papenhuyzen (knee)

Paps continues to work hard on his rehab program, building strength in his right leg. The exact date of his return is TBC.

Dean Ieremia (knee)

The winger has had surgery on his ruptured ACL last week. He will not be available for the remainder of 2023.
