Players return to feeder Clubs for trials

Storm’s feeder clubs will get their first influx of talent from Melbourne’s NRL squad for this weekend’s Hostplus Cup pre-season trial matches.

Jack Howarth and Tepai Moeroa, who have had injury-interrupted pre-seasons, will gain valuable match time with the Sunshine Coast Falcons against Souths Logan Magpies at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Saturday (4pm kickoff).

Meanwhile, Jayden Nikorima and development list players Tristan Powell and Cole Geyer will link up with the Brisbane Tigers who play the Ipswich Jets at Ipswich (Saturday 5pm).

Triallists Kane Bradley and Charlie Murray (Tigers) as well as Lazarus Vaalepu (Falcons) will line-up for their Hostplus Cup clubs after playing for Storm in the NRL Pre-season Challenge game in Geelong.

Train and triallist AJ Gudgeon will be in Storm’s Jersey Flegg squad for their trial on the Sunshine Coast against the Falcons’ Hastings Deering Colts team at Maroochydore Rugby League Club (Saturday 2pm).
