Women of Storm announce keynote speaker

Best-selling author and former Federal MP Julia Banks will share her unique story at Women of Storm’s biggest event yet, Summer on the Lake, next month. 

Hosted by sports presenter Clint Stanaway, Summer on the Lake kicks off the Club’s second season of Women of Storm, an initiative to provide a voice and platform to address gender equality, on and off the sporting stage. 

Join us on Friday, 10 February at the beautiful Carousel at Albert Park to an afternoon of networking and a two-course lunch.  

Women of Storm is delighted to announce Julia Banks will be our keynote speaker for the first event of 2023. 

Julia has extensive experience in the corporate and legal sectors, having served as both a Federal Government and Independent Member of Parliament after a two-decade corporate career in legal, governance and crisis and risk management as General Counsel, Executive Director and Company Secretary in some of the world’s most successful blue-chip companies.  

In 2021, Julia shared her career journey in the bestselling book ‘Power Play, Breaking through bias barriers and boys’ clubs’, going on to be nominated in the 2022 Australian Book Industry Awards longlist.  

Now an established thought leader on leadership, Julia consults and advocates for safe and respectful workplace cultures, alongside women in leadership.
