Munster breaks the internet

After months of intense speculation, Cameron Munster confirmed he remains a one Club man and suffice it to say, fans are freaking out.

Thursday evening, the Dally M Five-eighth of the Year announced he will remain a part of Melbourne Storm’s spine, extending his current contract until 2027.

When the news broke the die-hard purple pride, next-generation fans and rugby league community rallied together to celebrate the signing.

For some, the news seemed too good to be true with one fan commenting, “Damn near cried when I got the news last night”.

Others, simply couldn’t form a response.

With rumours circulating weekly about the 28-year-old’s future, the rugby league community sat divided on where the Origin star was headed. With a young family, returning to Queensland seemed a sensible choice to some, while others felt the purple jersey was the only way forward.

Ultimately, after almost a decade down south, the Queenslander decided Melbourne is home, saying “In the end, Melbourne is where my heart is, Melbourne is where I want to play my footy”.
