Brandon Smith: Season in Review

Season 2022 saw Brandon Smith complete his sixth and final season with Melbourne Storm, ending his time as a core member of the Club’s forward pack.

At home not only as hooker, but also lock, prop and part of Craig Bellamy's interchange rotation, the 26-year-old maintained his versatile nature while always bringing the trademark Cheese energy.

Three tries, two try-assists, three line-breaks assists, 2,027 total run metres and 502 tackles resulting in a 91.8% tackle efficiency saw Smith’s unyielding presence make an impact in Storm’s season.

Of his 21 appearances, the forward continued making memories in the purple jersey. Round 16 saw the hooker celebrate his 100th  NRL and Storm game, going on to score a try in the milestone clash.

The proud Waiheke Island native continued his achievements, representing New Zealand mid-year in what was his eighth Test. He will do the same again later this month as he travels to the UK for the 2022 Rugby League World Cup.
