Faithful fill AAMI Park for biggest crowd since 2018

25,308 Storm members and fans filled out AAMI Park on Friday night in what was the Club’s biggest home crowd since 2018.

After being starved of matches in Melbourne due to COVID-impacted seasons across 2020 and 2021, the purple pride came out in their droves for the Round 24 blockbuster against the Roosters with tickets selling out just before kick-off.

The Melbourne faithful created an electric atmosphere with the crowd figure the biggest seen for a Storm game at AAMI Park since the 2018 Preliminary Final and the biggest regular season crowd since ANZAC Day also in the 2018 season.

Storm fans will eagerly await more finals action in Melbourne this September with the race for spots in the top eight coming to a crescendo this weekend. Storm will face the Eels in Parramatta on Thursday night, with both sides looking for a victory to lock in a position inside the top four on the NRL ladder.
