Thanks to Metro Trains, Melbourne Storm will gift free double passes to local Victorian rugby league clubs for Friday’s Round 21 clash with the Gold Coast Titans at AAMI Park.
As the 2022 home and away season comes to a close, budding Victorian rugby league stars and their Clubs will have the opportunity to see Storm in action for one of the last two home games for the season.
Partnering for their first year, Metro Trains and Storm have joined forces to encourage fans to utilise public transport when heading to AAMI Park throughout the 2022 season.
So far, pop-up giveaways across the Metro Train network have seen fans go into the running to win free double passes, coffees and Storm merchandise as they make their daily commute.
“This is a great initiative by Metro Trains giving our local community rugby league clubs a chance to see Storm play at AAMI Park,” Melbourne Storm CEO, Justin Rodski, said.
“We want to see as many members and fans as possible at our last two home games for the year. We know a lot of our members and fans use public transport to get to our matches. It’s safe, easy and affordable, and it is the fastest way in and out of the AAMI Park precinct.” he said.
Metro Trains CEO, Raymond O’Flaherty added: “We’re proud to transport thousands of Melbourne Storm fans right to the action at AAMI Park.
“Every time the Storm play in Melbourne, we make sure there are extra services so that you won’t miss a minute. This collaboration with the Storm has allowed us to give away hundreds of tickets to fans, and I’m thrilled that Metro can play a part in making sure all sports fans have a chance to get to the game.”
