Melbourne Storm players and staff went back to their roots on Thursday with the Club's annual Junior Club Jersey day.
Paying tribute to where they came from and the start of their rugby league journey, players temporarily swapped their Storm training kit for the colours of their respective junior clubs as they took to Gosch's Paddock.
A diverse range of junior clubs were represented across the Storm playing group, with Queensland clubs (14) narrowly leading the way ahead of junior clubs from New South Wales (13). There were six New Zealand clubs represented by the Club's proud Kiwi contingent while Justin Olam donned the colours of Unitech Spartans from Papua New Guinea and Tui Kamikamica represented QVS Knights from Fiji.
2 home-grown NRL Victoria clubs were also on show, with Dean Ieremia wearing the Sunbury Tigers jersey and Su'a Fa'alogo showcasing the famous blue and gold of the Northern Thunder.
The initiative, now a tradition at the Club comes in Storm's annual Parent's Weekend where a number of players parents will travel to Melbourne to watch Storm take on St.George Illawarra at home on Sunday afternoon.
