It has been a rough week for Melbournians and our playing group is acutely aware of this.
Ryan Papenhuyzen - unprompted - decided to call a few members in his spare time this week, while today Christian Welch had this to say:
"We're really passionate about getting home and playing in front of our fans - it's been a tough two years for them.
"Each week we go out and we are always mindful of our fans and members back home.
We're grateful to be able to do what we do, but we are always thinking of everyone in Vic.
