Stats that Matter: Round 15 v Wests Tigers

We scored five tries in the opening 15 minutes of round 15 and recorded the biggest score of 2021 in a 66-16 thumping of the Wests Tigers.

Storm had 10 try scorers, with Reimis Smith and Jahrome Hughes grabbing doubles.

Jahrome also clocked up two try assists, two line breaks and 160 kicking metres in an individual display that would have made him a standout in any other match - it just so happened that in this game almost every play was a Storm highlight.

Brandon Smith grabbed his signature try from dummy half and made one try assist and one line break.

Melbourne dominated possession early and had a 30-0 lead after just 17 minutes - Wests had at that stage held the ball for only 20 seconds of play.

Nicho Hynes converted 9 from 12 attempts for 22 points.

Storm completed at 88% with an average set distance of 44.7 metres.
