Neighbourly partnership for Storm as carsales sign on

Australia’s go-to for Everything You Auto Know, located only a short distance from Melbourne Storm’s headquarters, has signed on as a new premium partner of the reigning NRL premiers.

carsales will take up the sought after sleeve position on Storm’s playing jerseys for the 2021 season as part of the partnership announced today at Melbourne’s final training session ahead of the blockbuster Good Friday clash with Brisbane at AAMI Park.

The carsales branding will be prominent on Storm players’ jerseys, training gear, ground signage and during Melbourne Storm home games.

Not only are the head offices of Storm and carsales based less than a kilometre apart, they were both founded in 1997 and have gone on to experience sustained success and significant growth.

Storm has been Australia’s most successful sporting team in the past five years, including winning the 2020 premiership, while carsales has grown to be the largest marketplace for automotive, motorcycle and marine classifieds business in the country.

carsales attracts more Australians interested in buying, selling and owning cars, motorcycles, trucks, caravans and boats than any other classified group of websites.

The company also has operations in Brazil, South Korea, Latin America and in the Asia Pacific region.

Storm CEO Justin Rodski today welcomed carsales to the Storm family.

“We are delighted to partner with such a strong, respected and successful brand,” Rodski said

“This partnership is a great fit for both Storm and carsales and we look forward to connecting our members and fans with the diverse range of services and products they provide.

“The carsales logo will feature on the sleeves of our playing jersey from tomorrow night. It’s a unique position to occupy, generating more QI media value than any on-kit position across all AFL and NRL teams in 2020.

“We hope this is the beginning of a long and valued partnership together.”
