Sunshine Coast Falcons d Ipswich Jets 62-8
The Sunshine Coast Falcons continue to dominate the Intrust Super Cup competition, having now won 11 from 11 games after handing the Ipswich Jets a comprehensive 62-8 defeat on the weekend.
Nicho Hynes opened the scoring for the Falcons, scoring under the posts following a short kick.
The Jets could not stop Harry Grant in the 23rd minute, when the in-form hooker grabbed the loose ball and ran away to score his sixth try this season.
Down to 11 men with Billy McConnachie and Josh Seage both earning a stay in the sin bin for 10 minutes, the Jets could not hold the Falcons and the top team piled on another two tries.
Falcons took a 32-4 lead into the break.
Grant scored his second try, running from dummy half, just seven minutes after half time and the visiting side continued its assault to the tune of a 54 point thumping.
The Falcons face Burleigh Bears in Round 12.
Townsville Blackhawks d Easts Tigers 30-6
The Easts Tigers suffered their third consecutive loss on Saturday against a relentless Blackhawks outfit.
Easts were unable to score up to half time, with the home side taking a 16-0 lead into the break.
As the second half kicked off, the Tigers were determined to bear claws and they did just that with a try to Jarrod McInally after the Blackhawks spilt the ball over the line.
Tom Hughes successfully converted but it was to be the Tigers only points for the match.
The Tigers will play Northern Pride in Round 12.
