A pre-game experience never seen before

Melbourne Storm will unveil a world-first pre-game experience at its annual ANZAC Day blockbuster tomorrow night.

The Blackout ceremony has become a must-see event in Australian sport and Storm - market leaders and innovators around consumer experience - will take its game day product to a new level.

Tomorrow night's blackout will feature the first ever 3D mapping and animation projection show on the inside of a sporting stadium during a live sports event.

The 25-minute production is a collaboration between Storm, Max Events and Twisted Pixel and took over 500 hours to produce.

The imagery will be projected on the roof of the stadium using 30 lights and projectors and will feature cultural art designed by local artists, highlighting Indigenous and Maori cultures.

With over 50 cultural performers on the field the ceremony will include Welcome to Country, the Ode, Last Post and both the Australian and New Zealand national anthems.

This world-first production and the contest to follow is a sporting event not to be missed – tickets available here.
