U18 Victoria Thunderbolts 56 d West Coast Pirates 12

The U18 Victoria Thunderbolts broke through for their first win of the season in a stunning victory over the West Coast Pirates at Larkhill Sports Complex in Western Australia.

The Thunderbolts scored six first-half tries to take a commanding 32-6 lead into half time.

Dean Ieremia and Sione Finau both bagged three tries each with Pita-Will Purcell scoring a try and kicking eight goals for a massive 20-point haul.

The U18s Thunderbolts will finish the S.G Ball season when they take on the Western Suburbs Magpies this Saturday at Haines Drive Reserve, Wyndham Vale prior to the U20s Thunderbolts v Wests Tigers clash.

Cronulla Sharks 40 d U20 Victoria Thunderbolts 6

It was a vastly different game for the U20s Thunderbolts in round three of the Jersey Flegg Cup at Casey Fields, as the home side fell to an impressive Sharks outfit.

Played in wet and cold conditions, Thunderbolts started well and opened the scoring through a Jordin Leiu try.

It was one way traffic for the rest of the match, as the Sharks crossed for four tries in each half.

The U20s will take on the Wests Tigers at Haines Drive Reserve in Wyndham Vale at 2pm on Saturday, with the U18s playing prior.
