Another slow start once again proved costly for Easts Tigers on the weekend.

The Tigers fell behind by 10 points inside the first six minutes and was a deficit they could not recover from, eventually falling to Redcliffe 32-16.

Former Storm player Tony Tumusa scored a hat-trick in the game.

Brandon Smith started the match at hooker however suffered a corked thigh and did not play the full 80 minutes.

“We went back to our bad habits of having a poor start again. They scored two tries in the first 10 minutes so we were behind the eight-ball from there,” Easts coach Scott Sipple said.

“It was disappointing to go from last week’s performance to this week’s. We were just too inconsistent.”

Easts will travel to Barlow Park next Saturday to face the Northern Pride.
