Melbourne Storm have received a significant boost in the build up to the World Club Challenge with Billy Slater and Will Chambers making their return to pre-season training.

The experienced duo pulled the purple colours back on after a well deserved off-season break.

Their 2017 campaign saw both Slater and Chambers earn Premiership glory with Storm and cap off the year with a World Cup triumph for Australia.

Unsurprisingly, the pair reported back to training on Day 1 fit, firing and ready to go.

There is now just over three weeks until Melbourne host Leeds Rhinos in the World Club Challenge at AAMI Park.

More than 10,000 tickets have already been sold with Storm members and fans encouraged to get in early to secure their seat. Click here to book.

Storm skipper Cameron Smith is set to return training next week.
