Friday night’s World Cup action saw Australia overcome Fiji with a dominant 54-6 display.

Billy Slater was again at his mercurial best with two tries, Will Chambers was solid in the centres while Cameron Smith slotted seven conversions for the night to go along with his team-high 31 tackles.

Suliasi Vunivalu scored Fiji’s only try of the night to take his tournament tally to nine – second on the try-scorer’s list.

His teammate Tui Kamikamica continued his great performances up the middle for Fiji with 105 metres and 22 tackles.

In the other Semi-final England held off a fast-finishing Tonga to book their place in the decider with a 20-18 win.

Australia and England will now meet in the Final at 8pm this Saturday night at Suncorp Stadium.
