Cameron Smith has become the first player to captain his side in 250 NRL games.
The champion hooker reached the milestone in style as he helped guide Storm to a dominant 44-12 win over Newcastle.
Smith began his captaincy career in Round 3, 2006 before taking over as full-time captain at the start of the 2008 season.
His record as Melbourne skipper stands at 181 wins, 67 losses and two draws with an average winning percentage of 72.4%.
Smith is now just three games away from breaking Darren Lockyer’s all-time record of 355 NRL games played.
