The Thunderbolts have kept their hopes of an NYC finals berth alive with a runaway 36-24 win over the Raiders at GIO Stadium.

Storm's Under-20s raced out to a 14-point lead inside 17 minutes and from there they did not look back.

Harry Grant was dominant from hooker, scoring a double with a try in either half.

Grant scored the first of the day before Kea Pere added the Thunderbolts second.

The Raiders hit back however the kids in purple responded with two of their own in quick succession for a 24-6 advantage.

That healthy lead never really looked like being reeled in during the second half as Harlan Collins all but sealed the result with a try down the left touchline in the 51st minute.

The result sees the Thunderbolts secure their eighth win of the season and maintain touching distance with the NYC top eight.
