Melbourne Storm has signed Rabbitohs forward Robbie Rochow for the remainder of the 2017 season.

As part of the deal, Storm has released forward Dean Britt to move immediately to the Rabbitohs, having already signed with them for 2018.

Rochow, 26, returns to the Club having played three seasons from 2009-2011, including the Club’s 2009 NYC Premiership and 2011 Minor Premierships.

He has played 82 NRL games across Storm, the Knights and Rabbitohs and will further strengthen the Club’s forward stocks.

Melbourne Storm Football Director Frank Ponissi said, “We were approached by Dean to see if the Club would consider releasing him to the Rabbitohs early, while we were reluctant initially we understood Dean’s reasons and the opportunity for him to play more NRL.

"Dean has displayed impeccable resilience over the six years he has been at the Club, having arrived as a 17 year old overcoming injury to make his NRL debut a few weeks ago."

“We are delighted to welcome Robbie back to the Club, he has matured further as a player and we believe he will add strength to our forward stocks for the remainder if the season.”
