Sunshine Coast have seen their six-game winning run come to an end, falling to the Townsville Blackhawks 36-14.

The Falcons were trailing from the outset and never quite recovered.

The shining lights were young Storm prop Vincent Leuluai who continued his good form in reserve grade and also Jeremy Hawkins who crossed the line in either half.

“He was really good in attack Jeremy… he was a handful on that edge so he was a big tick for me,” Falcons coach Craig Ingebrigstein said.

“Vinnie was great, he was the best out of the Melbourne boys… I am just really impressed with the young man’s attitude towards everything, he had a real go for us on the weekend.”

The Falcons face another tough test when they travel to take on the Wynnum Many Seagulls this Saturday.

Storm’s other feeder side Easts Tigers had the bye last week.
