Five Melbourne Storm players have earned selection in Queensland’s squad ahead of next week’s all important Origin 2 clash in Sydney.

Kevin Walters’ Maroons will be filled with purple pride after Billy Slater earned a recall while prop Tim Glasby is set to make his Origin debut.

Captain Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Will Chambers round out the Storm contingent who will look to play a big role in turning the Maroons’ fortunes around in Game 2.

Slater will line up in the number one jersey in what will be his first Origin match since Game 2 on the Melbourne Cricket Ground back in 2015.

The fullback’s selection reinstates a Storm spine up the middle of the field with Cronk and Smith lining up in their customary positions at halfback and hooker. All have been critical to the Maroons’ success throughout their decade of dominance.
