Melbourne Storm U20

The Thunderbolts has received a significant boost this week with Brodie Croft, Curtis Scott and Scott Drinkwater all named in the side.

The trio has spent much of the season playing for Storm’s feeder sides in the Queensland Cup but will this week step out at NYC level.

They are timely inclusions for a Thunderbolts side looking to snap their four game losing run.

While their most recent defeat to the Knights was not their ideal result, there were plenty of promising signs.

“That was the first time we had played well in six weeks and we are still well and truly in the mix for the top eight so the boys are taking encouragement from that,” Thunderbolts coach Eric Smith said.

“Harry our captain has mentioned that to our boys. We are only a couple of good performances away from starting a good run home which is what we are hoping to do in the next few weeks.”

“The results haven’t been there in the last month or so but it is just about playing good football on the weekend against quality opposition. We know we will need to be at a high level to compete with the Sharks who are flying at the moment.”
