The call is being put out to all Aboriginal men to come along to the Aboriginal Men’s Gathering at AAMI Park next Thursday, 11 May.

The day will run from 9am to 4.30pm and will feature several guest speakers including Storm coach Craig Bellamy.

Key themes of the day will centre around dealing with Mental Health, Family Violence and Alcohol & Drugs in the community.

Two time Olympian Kyle Vander Kuyp, former NRL player Preston Campbell and AFL premiership player Wayne Schwass will form a three-man panel to tackle the issue of Mental Health amongst Aboriginal Men.

Muscians Kutcha Edwards and Dave Arden as well as comedian Sean Choolburra will also be providing entertainment on the day.

This event is FREE to attend. It is the third year Melbourne Storm and Dardi Munwurro have held the Victorian Aboriginal men’s gathering with over 250 men turning out last year.

To attend next Thursday all you need to do is contact Alan Thorpe (0450 607 078) or Peter Robinson (0438 363 589). Notice of your attendance is essential.

Some door prizes will be given away on the day, including a Melbourne Storm Indigenous jersey signed by Craig Bellamy and Cameron Smith as well as a Collingwood Indigenous jersey.
